The city of Shaker Heights will be opening a cooling center to provide relief for city residents during this dangerous heat wave.

Due to the heat advisory and temperatures in the high 90's, Shaker Heights has decided to offer some community relief.  The cooling center will be in the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building located on the main floor of the building.

The cooling center will be open on Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18 until 8 p.m. both days. Water will be available for residents and a television will be set up.  Seating is limited and residents are encouraged to bring their own reading materials etc.

There will not be city-provided transportation to the center. The address is 3450 Lee Road, Shaker Heights, OH 44120.
