Victims in Akron double homicide identified

The Summit County Medical Examiner has now identified the men found stabbed to death at an apartment on S. Rose Blvd in Akron Wednesday morning.

The victims are Bryan K. May, 53, and  Jeremy A. Putra, 20. Both men lived at the S. Rose Blvd. apartment.

Akron Police Officers were called to the apartment around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday to check the welfare of the residents.  When officers arrived, they entered through an unlocked door and found the bodies.

According to witnesses, Robert Pitts Jr., 19,  has resided on S. Rose Boulevard for the last couple of weeks.

Aggravated Murder warrants were signed for Pitts Jr. Wednesday evening. Officers say he should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
