CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A power line fire knocked out electricity for a west side Cleveland neighborhood on Thursday night.

According to police, electricity caused a transformer to catch fire over a garage around 11 p.m., damaging a car inside of it.

A source at the fire department says as many as 10,000 residences experienced a power outage at one point during the night.

The fire department says there are still some homes in the area of Clifton and W 110th that are affected.
