The United States Men's Soccer team extended their win streak to 11 in a row after a 1-0 defeat of Panama in the CONCACF Gold Cup Final Sunday. That victory is expected to vault them past Mexico in the next FIFA rankings due out in August.
Midfielder Brek Shea scored the lone goal of the match, just a mere :42 seconds after entering the game. The U.S outscored their opponents 20-4 during the tournament, while no other competitor scored more than 11.
This is the Americans 5th Gold Cup Championship but first since 2007. The next World Cup qualifier for the US will be in September.
