Cleveland (WOIO) - The trading deadline came and went on Wednesday, with the Indians deciding that no move was the best move of all.
"There were deals out there, and they were bad deals", said manager Terry Francona prior to the game against the White Sox. "Other teams just wanted too much."
The Indians were in the market for a top of the rotation starter, but weren't willing to give up top prospects, including Francisco Lindor, especially for two-month rentals, like Texas' Matt Garza, who'd become a free agent at the end of the season.
The Indians made one move prior to the deadline, on Tuesday, when they sent minor league shortstop Juan Herrera to the St. Louis Cardinals for left-handed reliever Marc Rzepczynski.
