Akron teen indicted in the murders of his high school friend and his dad

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Robert Thomas Pitts, Jr. has been indicted on murder and other charges.

Pitts is charged with four counts of Aggravated Murder, two counts of Murder, two counts of Aggravated Robbery and Injuring Animals.

The Akron teenager is accused of murdering his high school friend Jeremy Putra and Putra's father Bryan May. Both were found stabbed to death in their S. Rose Blvd. home last month.

Police say Pitts had been living with them at the time of the homicides. 

The 19-year old was found in Chicago a few days after the murders. He is being extradited from Illinois back to Ohio and will be arraigned in court August 7th.

He faces the death penalty if convicted.
