Wadsworth Police ask for help solving recent burglaries

Posted: Updated:
WADSWORTH, OH (WOIO) -

Wadsworth Police report that over the past several days they have responded to several burglaries and break-ins in the neighborhood surrounding the Valley View Elementary School.

Chad Price discovered a burglar hit his garage earlier this week.

"Welders, power tools, my bow, chainsaws. Stuff like that," said Chad.  "You work hard for all your stuff. Somebody just comes in...takes it."

Wadsworth Police say that although they are aggressively investigating the crimes, they are asking for the public's assistance in identifying any suspicious.

"We never shut our garage doors.  We always felt very safe. Now with this going on its kind of scary," said Joy Price.

"I grew up over here. Lived here for 30 years. Never had a problem. You know you used to be able to leave the keys in the car unlocked all the time. Not anymore," added Chad.

Officers ask that if you notice unusual or unfamiliar vehicles, persons or activities in your neighborhood, please contact the Wadsworth Police Department at (330) 334-1511 or at 9-1-1 in case of an emergency so that they can further investigate the circumstances.

Anonymous information regarding criminal activity or illicit drug activity can be left in a voice mail box at (330) 335-2769.  Information can also be provided to departmental personnel via e-mail, wadsworthpd@gmail.com or via the department's Facebook site.

So far no one has been arrested.
