AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

The LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF) is kicking off another exciting school year with its second annual I PROMISE Family Reunion event that celebrates the pillar program's current Wheels for Education (WFE) students and welcomes a brand new class of third graders.

This year, nearly 700 WFE kids and their families will join LeBron James for the Family Reunion at St. Vincent-St. Mary's football stadium, which marks the start of a new school year of achieving the promises they've made to be good students, good sons and daughters, and to live an active and healthy lifestyle.

In addition to a live performance by popular group H3 (Healthy Hip Hop), the students will also receive a pep talk from LeBron, brand new bikes and school uniforms to help them through the upcoming school year.

As part of the promise he made to his high school alma matter, James is outfitting all STVM student athletes with Nike team uniforms and building a brand new, state-of-the-art gymnasium that is scheduled to be completed this fall.
