Man arrested after South Euclid Police find him hiding in an attic

SOUTH EUCLID, OH (WOIO) -

A 24-year-old man was arrested after police found him hiding in an attic.

South Euclid Police say they attempted to pull over a vehicle near the intersection of Mayfield and South Belvoir Blvd. for several traffic violations.

The driver refused to stop and fled east of Mayfield.

Police say he pulled into his driveway on Maywood and fled on foot, officers chased him and he ran in to his residence.

Additional officers responded to the scene along with K9 officer, Recon.

Police say the suspect was found hiding in a crawl space in the attic, he was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension, and fleeing and eluding. 

He was also charged with resisting arrest and violating a temporary protection order. Police say the protected party was seated next to the suspect in the vehicle.
