St. Joseph, MO (WOIO) - Pro Bowl running back Jamaal Charles threw a scare into the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, carted off the field midway through practice with a foot injury.
X-rays were negative, and head coach Andy Reid is calling it a strained foot.
The injury occurred during the 11-on-11 portion of practice, pitting the No. 1 offense against the top defense. Charles walked off the field and spent a moment speaking with trainers. He then climbed into a cart and was driven to the locker room.
Charles missed nearly an entire season two years ago with a torn ACL in his left knee.
