SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

Three people have been charged in a Summit County daytime burglary ring.

Over the past few months, the suspects would drive through various Summit County neighborhoods and target open garages or residences where it appeared the homeowners weren't present. The suspects were responsible for the thefts of thousands of dollars worth of golf clubs and equipment, lawn care equipment, tools and bicycles.

Most of the stolen items were sold to individuals as well as the investigators identifying a "fencing" operation in Portage County.

The investigation led to the arrests of Matthew T. Johnson, 28, charged with two counts of burglary, Megan Johnson, 28, charged with one count of burglary and Gary Wolf, Jr., 29, currently charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft of a firearm.

Additional charges will be presented to a Summit County Grand Jury.

Detectives are still in the process of recovering more of the stolen property, and more possible charges could be filed.
