Akron teens attack a 51-year-old woman

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Police arrest two teenaged boys, ages 14 and 16, for allegedly attacking a 51-year-old woman and stealing her purse.

This happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of West Portage Trail in Akron.

The victim tells Akron Police she was walking to her car in the parking lot when the two suspects approached her and grabbed onto her purse.

The woman tried to hold onto the purse while the suspects dragged her through the parking lot.

When the victim let go, the suspects fled through the wooded area with the purse. 

Responding officers located the suspects in the Waterford Court Apartments.  They were charged with robbery and obstructing official business and placed in the custody of the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.

The victim suffered injuries to her right arm and right leg and ankle.
