CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

It was a violent weekend in Cleveland, there were 7 shootings in twenty-four hours.

A 41 year old woman, Crystal Pinkins, was shot in the head in a vehicle at East 93rd and Mt. Auburn.

Another body was found hours later Saturday morning, a man was shot in the head in the driveway of a East 85th street home.

Later that same day police say three other shooting victims showed up at area hospitals overnight, police think those shooting victims are related.

It's violence like this, that the group 100 Black Men work to curb through their mentoring program.

Kevin Bond with 100 Black Men mentoring program said, "The goal is to show them that there are alternatives to what they see in the streets, in the media on a daily basis. It's to try to be role models, to give them a positive image of what black men can be."
