BEREA, OH (WOIO) -

The Cleveland Browns on Monday waived several players including receiver Jordan Norwood. Norwood had been with the Browns since 2011. He played in 14 games that season, but last year only played in two. He racked up 36 catches for 405 yards during his tenure in Cleveland.

The team also waived defensive back Vernon Kearney, defensive lineman Dave Kruger, wide receiver Cordell Roberson and linebacker Tommy Smith, the club announced.

The Browns' roster is currently at 83 players.

All NFL teams are required to have a maximum of 75 players on their active rosters by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, and a maximum of 53 players by 6 p.m. ET on Saturday.
