CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
A 24-year-old man drowns while swimming with his girlfriend and her 4-year-old son in Lake Erie. The accident happened Saturday afternoon at Euclid Beach State Park.

Traveno Sledge was pulled from Lake Erie by divers and pronounced dead at Euclid Hospital.

The family says Sledge, Javion Berry and his mom, Tanisha Berry, 20, were all in the water together when a huge wave swept Sledge and the little boy away.

A good Samaritan then jumped in and grabbed Berry, saving his life. Berry was transported to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital where he is being treated.

On Monday, Berry met the woman who saved his life!
