NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

Police are urging vigilance after the attempted luring of a little girl in North Ridgeville.

Cops were called to Stoney Lake Drive in the Meadow Lakes subdivision just before 3 p.m. on Monday for a suspicious vehicle.

19 Action News has learned several people dressed in black were inside the vehicle. The vehicle is described as a longer, dull black model with tinted rear windows.

One of the passengers attempted to contact a 10-year-old girl riding her bicycle. The child rode home and told her mother, who immediately called police.

Several units responded and a search of the area failed to locate the suspicious vehicle.

Police are stepping up patrols for the entire neighborhood. Anyone with information is urged to contact the North Ridgeville Police Department at 440-327-2191.
