COLUMBUS, OH (WOIO) -

The Ohio Parole Board voted unanimously to deny clemency to convicted cop killer Harry Mitts, Jr.

The report has now been sent to Governor Kasich.

Mitts was sentenced to death out of Cuyahoga County for the 1994 deaths of John A. Bryant and Sgt. Dennis Glivar.

Mitts shot and killed Garfield Heights police Sergeant Dennis Glivar and wounded another Maple Heights police officer during a shoot-out in 1994.

Mitts had also shot and killed an African-American resident, John Bryant, in a racially-motivated attack that led to the subsequent police shoot-out.
