The Vemilion Township mom and dad charged in the starving death of their 18-month-old son, have now pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

Isaac Bartholomew died in his crib last November.

The Lucas County Coroner's office says Isaac was malnourished and dehydrated, and also had two collapsed lungs and bleeding in the brain.

His father, James Brothers, 33, and his mother, Adrienne Bartholomew, 35, will be sentenced in Erie County Common Pleas Court on November 4.

The couple's six other children have already been removed from the home. When they were rescued last November, four of them were treated for suspected malnutrition. Several of the siblings have special needs.
