TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Armed intruders broke into a home in the 2700 block of Powhattan Parkway in west Toledo overnight while a family was home.

Police say two intruders snuck into the home through a side door just after 1 a.m. and went upstairs, cornering a mother and her two children. Holding them at gunpoint, they demanded cash from the family and pistol-whipped an 18-year-old male.

The two suspects then fled the scene.

The male was treated at the scene for his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation, but police believe the home was targeted.
