CMSD students with perfect attendance can go to the circus!

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Students in the Cleveland Municipal School District (CMSD) are back the classrooms.  And while summer vacation maybe over, students who have perfect attendance over the next several months could attend one more fun event.

Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey are offering all CMSD students in grades K-6 a free ticket to Built to Amaze!, the upcoming circus performance at Quicken Loans Arena on October 23-27, 2013.

All they need to get the ticket is have perfect attendance from August 19 - October 14.

Michelle Pierre-Farid, Chief Academic Officer at CMSD is really excited about the partnership with Ringling Brothers on the perfect attendance program.

"It's important to get students in a routine of regular attendance at the beginning of the school year," said Pierre-Farid.  "When you do this, you find that they maintain a good attendance record the rest of the year.  The incentive of a free seat at the Greatest Show On Earth is attractive to both students and their parents, and will help keep students in their seats as we begin the school year."
