It was a difficult opening day for the AFC North division as the Browns, Bengals, and Steelers all lost, after the Ravens were defeated on Thursday night by the Indianapolis Colts.
24-21 was the final from Chicago as the Bengals lost to the Bears. Quarterback Andy Dalton did as much good as he did bad, throwing for two touchdowns to AJ Green, and two interceptions to Bear's defenders as well. The Bengals can right the ship in week two as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday Night.
The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered their first loss of the season by the hands of the Tennessee Titans by a final of 16-9. The Steelers didn't score their only touchdown until late in the fourth quarter with a Ben Roethlisberger touchdown to Jerricho Cotchery. The biggest losses of the game may have been that of starting center and pro bowler Maurkice Pouncey who went out with torn ligaments in his right knee, and linebacker Larry Foote who ruptured his right bicep.
The Baltimore Ravens were picked apart by Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Thursday, 49-27. Manning torched the Ravens by passing for 462 yards and 7 touchdowns. The Ravens will look to rebound as they play the Browns at home next Sunday.
The Browns currently have a 10 game losing streak against the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens.
