Trial continued for woman accused of killing infant son

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A Toledo woman accused of killing her infant appeared in court Monday morning, only to have her case pushed back again.

Toledo Police say 25-year-old Amanda Bacon threw her 6-month-old son, Avery, in a raging outburst back in December. Bacon and another man brought the baby into the emergency room with severe head injuries, including a fractured skull. The baby died a few days later.

Bacon is being charged with aggravated murder, and is being held on a $1 million bond.

Bacon's trial was originally scheduled back in June, but was pushed back at the request of the defense in order to find more experts to testify. Jury selection was scheduled to begin Monday, but it was pushed back again to Nov. 12.
