Man that attacked elderly couple pleads guilty

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

19 Action News has learned that a Cleveland man who beat and robbed an elderly couple pleaded guilty Friday.

Ronald Ellis, Jr. plead to a series of charges after he broke into a west side home and attacked the couple in June. 

During the incident, an 82-year-old man was beaten, and his 80-year-old wife was duct taped and stuffed inside the truck of a car.

She was later found on the city's east side and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Judge Michael Donelly will sentence Ellis in October.

Ellis faces up to 76 years in prison.
