CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A mother is facing a felony charge of child endangering for an extreme home alone case.

Cleveland police believe a 16-month old girl may not have been fed for two to three days.

A report shows conditions in an apartment were so bad, a grandmother told police she found the child with maggots on her. The maggots had apparently formed around a dirty diaper.

Charges have been filed against Nikia Banks. Police say the baby had been left in an apartment near E. 30 and Central.

The police report shows no food, a broken crib, a 'strong odor" in the home and dirty diapers.
