MARIEMONT, OH (FOX19) -

A Mt. Airy woman has been arrested after, police say, she slapped two juvenile girls on the field at a Mariemont High School football game.

Nakia Stearns, 34, was arrested on Friday after the incident. Police say that Stearns went on the field after the football game and slapped two female juveniles around four times each.

Stearns first told police that the girls were her godchildren. However, Stearns later admitted that the girls were not legally her godchildren.

Stearns has been charged with two counts of assault and was transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
