CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Again and again lately, juveniles are making headlines. So, 19 Action News did some digging to look at how many kids end up in juvenile court, and how young.

A 16-year-old was busted for an attack on a gay man.

Another, juvenile was busted for throwing rocks at a gay bar, at just 13-years-old.

Young teen girls arrested for this fight. And so much more.

We have a breakdown of kids hauled to Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.  These juveniles brought in for crimes or being unruly.

Last year nearly 4,000 juveniles were arrested and brought in. The most common ages were 16 and 17.

But, really young kids are brought in, too. Twenty-two 11-year-olds, 13 10-year-olds, 6 9-year-olds, even two 8-year-olds and younger.

So, thousands of juvenile suspects committing all kind of crimes, here in Cleveland. The youngest bad guys likely to only get sent to counseling.

The older ones can be sent to juvenile jails or even tried as adults.

But, we've seen repeat kid criminals never locked up, as well.

Either way thousands of kid cases occur in one court. Many suspects so young they should be studying in elementary school.
