CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Determined to be at the Torch Run is Holly Koster.

Koster is pushing through the gravel and forcing her way through the grass, with her dog Glory by her side.

"I'm going to drop off the runners and pick them up," Koster tells 19 Action News reporter Lydia Esparra.

The run benefits Berea's Church Street Ministries.   They are a non-profit group that services families in crisis in Cuyahoga County.  Koster is here for them.

"I was injured in an automobile accident, my Jeep rolled over when I was in the Army."

That's right - she is an Army vet with disabilities. But, the sufferings of others supersedes hers.   A reason so many come here today.

"I was involved in high school with the torch program and so when I saw this run helped the church ministries I thought it would be I would really like to do," Koster says.

Runners participating will each run a part of the 12 mile race, switching along the route.

They are running for those in need and for the organization that has been around for decades. Koster has already sacrificed so much, yet she doesn't see it that way.

"It's no sacrifice. It's great I'm a runner, a racer and I participated in the Air Force marathon, so I already put in my miles but it's a great cause."
