Police in Akron are looking for a hit and run driver.

On September 9 at 8 p.m., the driver hit a construction worker with her vehicle on I-77 North near the Vernon Odom exit and drove off.

Surveillance video from a nearby gas station captured the suspect and her vehicle a short time later.

Police tell 19 Action News the suspect is a black woman driving a tan SUV, possibly a Ford, with damage to the driver's side of the vehicle.

There is no word on the construction worker's condition at this time.
