BEREA, Ohio – The Cleveland Browns will induct former linebacker Galen Fiss (1956-65) and guard Abe Gibron (1950-56) into the Cleveland Browns Legends during the Browns-Bengals game at FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday, the team announced Thursday.
Fiss and Gibron will be honored throughout Alumni Weekend (Friday-Sunday), highlighted by a pregame induction ceremony. Including the 2013 honorees, the Cleveland Browns Legends boasts 54 members.
Launched in 2001, the Cleveland Browns Legends recognizes former players who have made a major impact on the organization, with new members inducted each year except for 2009.
The Browns will continue their celebration of former players with a ceremony honoring Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown during the Browns-Bills game on Thursday, Oct. 3, broadcast nationally on the NFL Network. Brown, along with all of the team's then-Hall of Famers, was a charter member of the Cleveland Browns Legends in 2001.
