CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

An RTA bus driver was recently caught on cell phone video reading a magazine while driving a bus filled with people.

A passenger captured the video footage of the driver paging through a magazine while driving in Cleveland earlier this week.

After obtaining the footage, 19 Action News Reporter Scott Taylor contacted officials at RTA's downtown headquarters.

"Obviously this isn't something that is acceptable. It's an incident of distracted driving." said Mary Shaffer, RTA Media representative.

"We encourage our drivers to keep their eyes on the road at all times."

RTA offers a free phone application called, "I Watch RTA," that allows passengers to alert them to alarming behavior.

RTA is planning to investigate to the incident.
