CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Police have wrapped up their investigation into an reported attack at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School that was reported Thursday morning.

Police say that the claim is unfounded.

A 14-year-old male student was reported to have been slashed at the Catholic high school with a razor blade in the school's bathroom.

The boy was cut on the leg. He was treated at a local hospital and taken back to class.

The school's president, Richard Osborne, released the following statement Thursday during the investigation:

"There was an incident in the restroom today (Thursday) in which a student received a minor injury.  The student is in class, the school is open and we're working to determine the details."
