Bank robbery in Bolivar leads to lock down of schools, suspect on the loose

BOLIVAR, OH (WOIO) -

Bolivar Police Chief Randall Haugh Jr. confirms that the Huntington Bank located at  108 Canal Street was robbed at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 3.

Police say that the suspect entered the bank and handed the clerk a note saying that he was robbing the bank.  At this point it is believed that the suspect was unarmed.  The bank robber left the bank with a large sum of money and no one was injured during the incident.

City schools were on lock down until 1:15 a.m.
