ORANGE VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) -

Orange Police Officers say they clocked a vehicle operating at 105 MPH around 3:30 Friday morning.

The driver was on I-271 northbound at Harvard Avenue.

The officer tried to pull him over, but the driver failed to yield to lights and siren and increased its speed.

The Orange Officer reduced speed as they approached the I-90 split.

The suspect vehicle lost control and struck another vehicle just past SR-91 on I-90 eastbound.
The driver was taken into custody without incident and remains in the hospital on a 72 hour evaluation with multiple charges pending.

The four occupants of the other vehicle involved were evaluated by local fire rescue units and all refused medical treatment.
