Cleve. Hts. police search for driver that struck and injured bicyclist

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

It's certainly not business as usual at Cain Park Cyclery in Cleveland Heights.

Just two days ago, on Thursday October 3, one of its long-time customers and avid cyclist, Mindy Mayno, was nearly killed in a hit and run accident.

She was on her bike in the 2800 block of Fairmount Blvd. when she was struck from behind by a motorist who initially stopped but then sped off.

The driver dragged Ms. Mayno underneath the car until her body became dislodged.

As can be expected this came as very troubling news for the friends Ms. Mayno.

According to Cleveland Heights Police, the suspect vehicle is a dark 2005 to 2009 Buick Lacrosse four door sedan with damage to the right front bumper.

Again the driver remains at large and at last check Ms. Mayno remains in stable condition at a local hospital.
