Woman shot outside downtown gentlemen's club

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A woman was shot at a gentlemen's club in downtown Cleveland early Sunday morning.

Police say Ti'yana Thompson, 24, was shot outside Tops & Bottoms gentlemen's club,  located at 727 Bolivar Avenue, at 3 a.m.

A preliminary investigation reveals that a man fired a shot into a group of people that were standing in the area of East 8th  Street and Bolivar Avenue, hitting Thompson in the back.

After the shooting the suspect fled the scene eastbound through the parking lot.

EMS rushed the victim to MetroHealth Medical Center where she is being treated for her injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a black male who is 5' 7" tall,  weighs 150 lbs, and has black hair and brown eyes. Police also say the suspect was wearing a green polo shirt and blue jeans, and his street name is "Beetle."

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in  connection with this incident to contact the Third District Detective Bureau at 216.623.5318.
