Tristan Thompson scored a game high 17 points to go with eight rebounds to help lead the Cavaliers past Milwaukee 99-87 on Tuesday night at the Q. Kyrie Irving poured in 14.
The Cavs welcomed back Anderson Varejao who missed much of last season. The big man scored only four points, but hauled in 10 rebounds and blocked a shot in 21 minutes. Top overall pick Anthony Bennett came off the Cleveland bench to score seven points and collect 10 rebounds. He also had four turnovers.
Milwaukee was held to 37% shooting from the floor.
