CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A mother has been charged with child endangering for leaving her three-year-old in a car that was then stolen overnight on Tuesday.

A charge of child endangering has been filed against 26-year-old Danielle Weems.

Records show Weems went to a house at West 30th and Seymour Avenue around midnight. She left her little boy alone in the car with the keys in the ignition and the car running.

The car was then stolen, but Cleveland police recovered the car less than an hour later a short distance away with the child inside.

At last check, no one had been arrested for stealing the car.

Weems is due in court October 24.
