HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Three people are facing charges, following a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Liberty Township.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office reports the crash happened around 3 a.m. on Township Road 139, south of State Route 12.

Deputies say 20-year-old Justin Simpson, of Bluffton, was driving a Nissan when he went around a sharp curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to veer off the south side of the road. Simpson's car struck several trees in a small wooded area.

Two passengers were in the vehicle: 19-year-old Nathan Davis of Jenera and 18-year-old Kayla Knoll of Naperville, IL.

Both Simpson and Knoll were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies say Davis fled the scene and was later located at his residence.

Simpson was cited for Operating Without Control and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Both Davis and Knoll were cited for Underage Consumption.
