Allegiant will fly nonstop to Florida from CVG

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) -

Allegiant Air will soon provide nonstop service from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Orlando and Ft. Myers.

The low-cost airline will begin service from CVG to Orlando Sanford Airport (SFB) on February 12, 2014. Service to Ft. Myers/Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) will start February 14.

"We are pleased to add Orlando and the beaches of Southwest Florida as an affordable, convenient destination option for Cincinnati residents," said Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President. "We are confident the community will appreciate the convenience of flying nonstop to Orlando and Punta Gorda and the value of bundling their air, hotel and car rental reservation together."

If you're considering a spring break trip to Disney World, a release says the airline will offer introductory roundtrip fares to both destinations. Fares from CVG are $50 to Orlando and $70 to Ft. Myers/Punta Gorda. This rate will last through October 22, 2013 and can be booked through Allegiant.com.

Allegiant Air will fly two-day-a-week service from CVG to Orlando on Wednesday and Saturday and two-day-a-week service from CVG to Ft.Myers/Punta Gorda on Monday and Friday.

  • CVG to Orlando: Departs 5:45 p.m. and arrives 7:50 p.m.
  • Orlando to CVG: Departs 3 p.m. and arrives 5:05 p.m.
  • CVG to Ft. Myers/Punta Gorda: Departs 2:31 p.m. and arrives 4:39 p.m.
  • Ft. Myers/Punta Gorda to CVG: Departs 11:30 a.m. and arrives 1:51 p.m.
