GLEN BURNIE, MARYLAND (WBFF/CNN) - A police officer and a firefighter are among three dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Maryland.
The bodies of three people were found inside a home in Glen Burnie early Sunday morning.
Police said shots were heard from the home about an hour-and-a-half after midnight.
The suspected shooter, 37-year-old Christopher Lee Robinson, was a Baltimore police officer.
Investigators believe Robinson shot Baltimore firefighter Andrew Scott Hoffman and a woman at the home, before killing himself.
"We believe everyone had a relationship and knew one another," said Lt. T.J. Smith, Anne Arundel County, MD Police. "So we don't believe this to be a random act of violence. We are urging the community to go about their normal business. It's a tragic situation that did occur in this community. But, again, there's no public safety endangerment in this area."
Police said Robinson had a relationship with the woman who was killed and that this appears to be a "domestic incident."
