Kelly says Vick won't be ready for match up against the Raiders
On Monday Philadelphia Eagles' head coach Chip Kelly stated that quarterback Michael Vick probably won't be available this week's match up against the Oakland Raiders.
Vick left the game Sunday against the New York Giants with a hamstring injury. Back up quarterback Nick Foles has been out of action since week seven with a concussion. This means that rookie Matt Barkley could make his first NFL start this Sunday.
Barkley was drafted by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He has played in two games this season, and has gone 28-for-46 for 287 yards and four interceptions. Barkley has also fumbled the ball three times in those two games.
Despite their (3-5) record, the Eagles are just one game behind the Dallas Cowboys for first place in the NFC East. Kelly hasn't given official word yet, as to whether Barkley will get the start this Sunday or not.
