North Dakota woman to hand out letters instead of candy

(Toledo News Now) -

A North Dakota woman won't be handing out treats to everyone this year.

Instead, she'll be giving letters to children she deems overweight.

The woman says she's taking the obesity epidemic into her own hands, and that it's irresponsible to let overweight children collect free candy for Halloween.

The woman is receiving a lot of negative flak for her plan.

One psychologist said it's important to remember that appearance doesn't always reflect  whether a person eats healthy or exercises regularly.
