Many in Henderson neighborhoods are under a boil water advisory Sunday afternoon.

Henderson Water Utility says they have issued an immediate boil water advisory due to a major water line break on the north end of Henderson at Marywood Dr. and Hwy 41 North.

Crews tell us the water line has been fixed, but the advisory is still in effect.

Officials say the area affected is from a line north of Rettig Road and north/east of Hwy 41 and the Cloverleaf.

They tell us that restaurants on the west side of 41, south of Rettig Road, and the ones on the east side of 41 from Barrett Blvd south will not be in the boil water area.

The affected subdivisions are:

The Hills
Wolf Hills
Grantwood Hills
Indian Hills
Braxton Park
Pebble Creek
Gray Stone
North Elm Area

Residents in these areas are advised to boil their water for three minutes before using, such as for drinking, cooking, making coffee, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.

Officials say the estimated time of the advisory is until November 6 or 7. We will keep you updated.
