FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) -

A man accused of shooting his girlfriend last week in Fairfield is being held on a $1.5 million bond.

Fairfield police were called to investigate a shooting on Wildwood Drive early Thursday morning. Upon arrival, emergency crews found 24-year-old Samantha Decker shot to death.

Police identified Nicholas Delaney, 28, as a suspect in the shooting. Delaney, who was Decker's ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, turned himself into authorities on Friday.

A judge set his bond during an arraignment Tuesday morning in the Fairfield Municipal Court. He's been charged with one count of murder.
