PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded to the 2200 block of South Friendship Road around 5:30 p.m. on November 5 for a report of a semi truck that hit a power pole.

According to deputies, Harold Ellis of Marshall, Ill. was going east on Krebbs Station Road and attempting to make a right hand turn onto South Friendship Road.

Upon turning southbound on South Friendship Rd., the rear of the trailer hit the top of the power pole causing the pole to break and fall to the ground.

Deputies say utilities were interrupted and remained off for about four hours while crews made repairs.
