Trucker with guns, drugs at Kings Island sentenced

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -

A truck driver who brought prescription drugs, guns and thousands of rounds of ammo to Kings Island this summer was sentenced to three years in prison.

Rodney Grisham, 37, was reported as a suspicious person in the park last July with unusual behavior towards young children. He allegedly tried to grab a two-year-old while wearing sunglasses containing a hidden video camera.

Grisham, a truck driver from Dallas, had his semi parked in the Kings Island parking lot. Authorities found non-prescribed prescription drugs in his vehicle, as well as items suggesting he was ready for an abduction, including three guns, children's toys and a taser.

In addition, Mason officials said Grisham had a criminal record and wasn't supposed to be carrying a weapon.

Grisham pleaded no contest to weapons and drug charges in September.
