Power restored to thousands in Dent

CLEVES, OH (FOX19) -

Power has been restored to the Dent area after a downed tree caused a power outage earlier this morning.

The intersection of Race Rd. and Reemelin Rd. was closed while work is being done to clean up the mess.

About 3,800 Duke Energy customers were without power. Street lights in the Green Township area were also out. 

There were reports of people hearing loud sounds and electric transformers exploding just after 4:30 a.m.
