Right after making his first start of the season against the Chicago bulls on Monday, Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum will sit out his next two games.
The former 76er was excused from the team Tuesday afternoon to attend a personal family matter. Although Bynum's minutes on the court have been inconsistent this season due to his continuing knee rehab, his departure is completely unrelated to his own personal health.
Bynum is expected to miss this week's games against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Charlotte Bobcats. He will be back this Saturday when the Cavaliers travel to Washington to take on the Wizards.
Bynum posted 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in his last game against the Bulls.
