Indians right-hander Joe Smith has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. It is believed to be a three-year deal worth $15-million. Smith notched a 2.29 ERA, three saves and 25 holds out of the Cleveland bullpen last season.
Smith turns 30 years old in March, which may have factored into the Indians reluctance to beat the offer. It might not have mattered if they had, Smith's fiancee lives and works in L.A.
