Victim identified in fatal Westwood shooting

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

Police have identified a man shot and killed early Monday morning in Westwood.

The shooting was reported at an apartment building in the 3100 block of Werk Road around 1 a.m. Upon arrival, police found 24-year-old Jamar Jones in the hallway with multiple gunshot wounds.

Jones was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he later died.

Police said there was also an apartment ransacked in the building and a car running in a nearby parking lot. However, investigators did not immediately link those events with the shooting.

Suspect information has not been released. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
